Just a month ago, Drake tied James Brown for most entries on The Billboard Hot 100 and now he has reached the 100 songs milestone, solidifying his position not only as the leading hip-hop artist in the industry, but also as a true pop star. Eight tracks from Drizzy’s collaborative mixtape with Future, What A Time To Be Alive, made their way to the chart, upping the Canadian from 92 to 100 appearances. Meanwhile, his single “Hotline Bling” has surged from #9 to #4 this week.
Drake joins only three other acts who have surpassed the mark, dating to the Hot 100 chart’s August 4th, 1958 inception. The list is topped by the Glee cast with 207 songs, while the runner up is Lil Wayne with 127. Elvis Presley, whose career predated the Hot 100 by two years, lands 108 appearances.
