US singer Ginuwine, 45, has warned his followers on Instagram that an unidentified Nigerian individual is using his name and picture to defraud him.
Ginuwine
raised the alarm yesterday (February 22) on his Instagram account. The
singer shared a screenshot of the fake Facebook account and wrote "I'm
being told someone is using my name to trick people into giving money
THIS IS NOT ME!!!! It's a Nigerian scam going on so if anyone on any
page that has my name ask for money curse they ass out people will do
anything for a dollar it's crazy."
The Facebook page has Ginuwine's real names 'Elgin Baylor Lumpkin'.
Yesterday Banky W also raised an alarm to his fans that scammers are circulating a fake EME application form. Banky who got wind of the scam took to Instagram to address it with the photo below.
