Always up for an exciting adventure, Alicia Vikander just signed on for the forthcoming reboot of the
“Tomb Raider” film franchise.
The “Danish Girl” darling will play the lead role of Lara Croft, under the
direction of Norwegian filmmaker Roar Uthaug, and Warner Bros will serve as the
distribution house.
Ms. Vikander follows in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie, who played Croft in
2001’s “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” and 2003’s “Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle
of Life,” which made a total of $432 million worldwide.
