It’s a big day for country music fans, as this morning Thomas Rhett appeared on the “Today” show to announced the first installment of nominees for the 2016 CMT Awards.
Slated to take place on June 8th at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, the annual event will honor the biggest and brightest stars of the past year.
Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett and Eric Church are all up for Male Video of the Year, while the Female Video hopefuls include Cam, Carrie Underwood, Jana Kramer, Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini and Maren Morris.
