Barca need a fourth centre-forward to play back-up to their ‘MSN’ front three of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar and they have been linked with a number of names over the past few months.
Former Manchester United and Arsenal hitman Van Persie has emerged as an option. The Dutchman wants to leave Fenerbahce and is looking for a new club.
Van Persie’s initial idea was to head back to England, but he has been offered to Barca.
Fenerbahce are willing to sell Van Persie for €10m, and he has reportedly been in talks with both West Ham and Stoke City.
